Announcing the Petaluma Mother'Announcing
Mother's
Club 6th Annual
Spring Tea & Hat Contest
Sunday, May 18, 2008 1:30-3:30 pm at the Sheraton,
Petaluma. Tickets $25
The Spring Tea and silent auction is our largest fundraiser of the
year. It is open to the public (women only) so please bring your close
friends and family. We will raffle off great gift baskets and other
incredible donated items. Proceeds will help fund club events, give
us the ability to donate scholarships, and along with yearly dues will
generate enough money to print and mail our monthly newsletter. Contact
Veronica Blaustein at ronniebluestone@gmail.com to order your tickets.
As this is our only fundraiser each year, we are seeking donations of
gift baskets prepared by members and silent auction items donated from
vendors and community members. Please talk to your playgroups about
creating a gift basket to raffle at our event or consider making a donation
from your business to be one of our silent auction items. For more information
about donating or to make a donation, please contact Veronica Blaustein
at ronniebluestone@gmail.com or Kesa Labanowski at roxiek16@comcast.net.
Stuff of the Month
Stuff of the Month is a new PMC program setup to collect different
items for a charity each month. If you have stuff you would like to
donate please email Megan Morrone at megan.morrone@earthlink.net.
Here is what is being collected by month:
April - Baby Stuff for Valley of the Moon Emergency Foster Families
This month we're collecting baby stuff for the Valley of the Moon Children's
Foundation. The stuff will go
to families who provide emergency foster care to babies. So, all baby
gear for the first year is welcome.
If You'd Like To Be Greener ...
If you'd like to be greener, but still enjoy reading the Nurturer's News, you might consider opting out of receiving the hard copy in your mailbox and read it online instead. Just email Jamie Smith at olivejame@yahoo.com and ask to be taken off the mailing list. The newsletter is posted by the 1st of the month on the PMC website at www.petalumamothersclub.org/newsletter.php. The username and password for reading the newsletter online is posted to the Yahoo boards on the 1stof the month also, or you can email editor Sara Jehan at pmcnews@yahoo.com and request them. The benefits: you will be doing a little bit to help the environment; the online version is in FULL color; and you can always print out and keep the page the pages you want, without having to keep and store a full issue! Something to think about.
