Dachia Williams
President

Dachia (pronounced Day-sha) is originally from the East Coast, having grown up in Pennsylvania. She attended Penn State University for her undergraduate studies and began her career as a middle school dance teacher in Northern Virginia, just outside of Washington, D.C. After several years in the classroom, Dachia moved to San Francisco to pursue her Master’s degree—and quickly fell in love with the Bay Area, where she has now lived for nearly eight years. During her time in San Francisco, Dachia met her now-husband, Mario. In October 2020, the couple relocated to Petaluma to be closer (but not too close) to Mario’s family in Santa Rosa. They welcomed their first daughter, Eliana, in May 2022, and their second daughter, Aysha, in July 2024. Outside of her work with SFUSD and coaching high school cheer, Dachia enjoys working out, spending quality time with friends and family, wine tasting, and a good Netflix binge. She joined the PMC board to build new friendships and connections in Petaluma and is excited to begin her third (and hopefully final!) term as president, continuing her commitment to supporting and engaging with the community.

Vanessa Galban

Vanessa grew up in LA and made her way up north in 2017. Prior to moving to Petaluma, she spent some years studying abroad in Spain and working abroad in Argentina, where she met her husband Martin. They welcomed their first daughter, Sofia, in January 2022 and their second daughter, Isabella, in October 2024 . She works in accounting for a construction company in San Rafael and absolutely loves it. In her spare time, Vanessa loves traveling, gardening, working out, doing aerial silks, walking her dog Sydney, and enjoying a cold beer or glass of red wine. She joined the PMC to meet other families and contribute to the community.

They are parents to two daughters—Maya (born February 2022) and Madeline (born December 2023)—along with their two mildly annoying dogs, Flapjack and Jameson. Now a stay-at-home mom, Sara enjoys baking bread, sipping spicy margaritas, and unwinding with a bit of trashy reality TV.
