Talking to your children about diversity, equity, and inclusion is important because they see differences. Children are very quick to speak up about differences not with judgment, but curiosity. They notice someone in a wheelchair, they notice different skin colors, they see a child that has same-sex parents. This presentation by Dr. Theresa Tan will explore what diversity and inclusion means, extending beyond race to include topics like religion, sexual preferences, neurodiversity, and more. This will be an interactive session with time for Q&A and participants will receive some resources to continue these important conversations at home.

About Dr. Tan:

Dr. Theresa Tan is an Asian American licensed clinical child psychologist and former kindergarten teacher who specializes in working with neurodiverse children and families.

*This session will be recorded and sent to all registrants following the lecture
